Is the far-right going to pin the Kirk shooting on South Park? Is this their new way of dealing with enemies?
— Another day, another bloodbath—this time a sniper opening fire on migrants at an ICE facility in Dallas—proving yet again what I’ve written for years: America’s obsession with guns is literally tearing us apart. No other advanced democracy on Earth tolerates weapons of war flooding their streets, yet here we are, watching the carnage mount while politicians bought by the gun lobby mouth “thoughts and prayers.” The truth is simple: fewer guns mean fewer deaths, particularly among our children. Until we summon the courage to stand up to the NRA and the billionaires who profit from this madness, tragedies like today will keep playing out, and America’s promise of life, liberty, and justice for all will continue to bleed out on the pavement.
— It’s Good to Be King: The Largest Transfer of Wealth and Power Since 1776, and It’s Going the Wrong Way
Last night, Trump and his loyalist FCC Chairman Brendan Carr doubled down on their attacks against Jimmy Kimmel, with Carr even flaunting a Trump-head lapel pin straight out of a dictator’s playbook while hinting at yanking station licenses. This isn’t about a late-night comedian: it’s about raw political intimidation, about using state power to silence dissent. When authoritarians go after entertainers, it’s never really about the jokes; it’s about warning everyone else to shut up. This is how free speech dies and fascism takes root, one threat, one scapegoat, one silenced voice at a time.
— Is the far-right going to pin the Kirk shooting on South Park? Is this their new way of dealing with enemies?
MAGA is now so desperate to dodge responsibility for the violence their movement inspires that they’re trying to pin Charlie Kirk’s murder on South Park. This is classic authoritarian scapegoating: blame the comedians, blame the critics, blame anyone but themselves. Let’s be clear: there’s zero evidence a cartoon pulled the trigger, but endless proof that MAGA’s culture of hate and dehumanization creates the climate for political violence. This shameful blame-shifting isn’t just absurd, it’s the authoritarian playbook in action, and every American should be outraged.
— Crazy Alert! Ok - Karoline Leavitt demand the people who took out the elevator at the UN be fired. Guess who it was...
— Joe Walsh - Why don’t the Democrats understand the threat?
— The Trump administration is taking on “the divisive feminist agenda” in the military. You know...things like childcare, family leave and reproductive care.
— Looks like the DOJ prosecutor assigned to targeting Trump’s foes is now apparently going after those who testified against Alex Jones in the Sandy Hook civil case. Just a reminder - Just a reminder - Alex Jones claimed that the murders were a “false flag” attack perpetrated by the government, made a new conspiracy claim that “no one died” at Sandy Hook Elementary School because the Uniform Crime Reports showed no murders in Newtown for 2012, and that the victims were “child actors.”
— Is the government dehumanizing people to make their raids & violence more acceptable?
When the Trump administration splices together immigrant arrests with the Pokémon theme song and mocks human beings as “illegal” trading cards, we have to ask: isn’t the goal here to strip people of their humanity so cruelty feels normal? This is propaganda 101: turn your targets into caricatures, make them laughable, make them less than human, and suddenly violence, cages, and deportations don’t feel like crimes, they feel like games. This is how “kingly rule” works: by numbing the public to suffering until brutality becomes entertainment. The real question is, how long will we let them play these sick games with human lives?
